ENERGY GLOBE AWARD WINNER
The St. John Eco Suites and SEA: Sisterhood Empowerment Academy eco-building won the Energy Globe Award in 2017. Established in 1999, the National Energy Globe Award is the world’s most prestigious environmental award, distinguishing best project submissions from 177 participating countries.
The Energy Globe Award national winners represent a wide range of unique and innovative solutions for pressing environmental issues all over the world.
It is awarded annually to new, sustainable projects that focus on energy efficiency, renewable energies, resource planning, youth initiatives, and other environmental issues. The awards for these many projects are presented in their recipients’ individual countries in cooperation with its partners.
Surrounded by members of the Austrian Trade Commission, representatives accept the National Energy Globe Award at the Austrian Trade Commission office in New York City where a ceremony was held to bestow the honor.
